Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using ReelDeck Studio ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

ReelDeck Studio is a link-saving and media-viewing workspace. You provide URLs to publicly available content; the Service saves those links, fetches preview metadata, and plays content through the platform's official embed system.

The Service does not host, re-stream, or store any video or audio content. All playback is delivered directly by the originating platform through its official embed API.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

4. Third-Party Content and Live Presentation

(A) What this feature does

ReelDeck lets you present content from third-party platforms inside your broadcast in two ways: (i) by embedding a platform's official, unmodified widget or player (for example, an X/Twitter post or timeline, or a YouTube embedded player), which ReelDeck renders with the platform's attribution intact; and (ii) by presenting a live website that you render yourself, on your own device, in your own browser session, using your own credentials, through your own capture software (for example, an OBS Browser Source). For path (ii), ReelDeck does not open, fetch, render, store, or transmit that website - your capture software does; ReelDeck composites your notes and graphics around the area where your own capture shows through.

(B) You are the accessing party; you are responsible for the rights

You are solely responsible for obtaining and holding all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to display, present, perform, and rebroadcast any third-party content you choose to present through ReelDeck, including in any monetized broadcast. For any live website you present, you are the party accessing that website, and you do so using your own credentials and your own session.

(C) Your representations

You represent and warrant that:

  1. you are authorized to access every site, account, and piece of content you present, and you access and present it in compliance with the originating platform's or website's terms of service, developer terms, display or broadcast requirements, and applicable law (including, for X/Twitter, its Display Requirements, and for YouTube, its Terms of Service and embedded-player terms);
  2. you will not use ReelDeck to access any website or content without authorization, or to bypass, defeat, or circumvent any paywall, login wall, IP block, rate limit, bot-detection, CAPTCHA, or other technological access control;
  3. your use of third-party content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, right of publicity, privacy, or other right of any third party; and
  4. you will preserve, and will not alter, crop, or obscure, the attribution a platform's official embed displays.

(D) No grant of rights; no representation of authorization

ReelDeck grants you no right in any third-party content. ReelDeck does not store, supply, inject, proxy, or use your third-party credentials, performs no access to any third-party website on your behalf, and does not represent or warrant that any particular use - including rebroadcasting third-party content in a monetized stream - is authorized by the originating platform or by any rights-holder.

(E) Indemnification

You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ReelDeck and Edukas Solutions LLC, and their officers, employees, and agents, from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to the third-party websites or content you access, present, or rebroadcast through ReelDeck, or your breach of this section.

(F) Enforcement

ReelDeck may disable any embed, source, or feature, or suspend or terminate any account, that it believes in good faith is being used to access content without authorization or to infringe the rights of any third party.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use ReelDeck to:

  • present or rebroadcast third-party content you do not have the right to use, including playing copyrighted videos, music, or other works in full or in substantial part without a license or a valid legal basis;
  • access any website or account you are not authorized to access, or capture or present any site in violation of that site's terms of service or robots directives;
  • circumvent any paywall, login wall, IP block, rate limit, bot-detection, CAPTCHA, or other technological access control - ReelDeck must never be used as, or configured into, a circumvention tool;
  • alter, crop, or obscure the attribution, watermark, logo, handle, timestamp, or identifying information that a platform's official embed displays (for example, X/Twitter's required full name, @handle, post text, profile picture, X logo, and timestamp, or YouTube's player attribution);
  • present third-party content in a way that implies the author or rights-holder endorses you, your product, or your sponsor without that person's permission;
  • separate, isolate, download, rip, record to disk, or redistribute the audio or video components of an embedded player or a captured source apart from the live, ephemeral presentation itself;
  • Save links to content you do not have the right to access;
  • Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or aggregate platform data;
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
  • Use the Service in any way that violates the terms of the platforms whose content you embed (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.)

6. Subscriptions and billing

The Service is available on a free tier and a paid Pro plan. Subscription fees are billed in advance through Stripe. All charges are in USD and are non-refundable except where required by law.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged again but no partial-period refund is issued.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

7. Intellectual property

The Service and its code, design, and branding are owned by ReelDeck Studio. You retain ownership of any content (e.g., collection names, notes) you create within the Service. You grant us a limited license to store and display that content solely to operate the Service.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Embed availability depends on third-party platforms and may change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content will be embeddable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReelDeck Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
