Install the ReelDeck extension on desktop.
The extension is designed for desktop browsers. Use these steps on Chrome, Edge, Brave, or another Chromium-based browser. Mobile browsers should use ReelDeck’s built-in Save flow instead.
1. Download the latest build
Open ReelDeck on desktop and use the extension download flow. This gives you the latest packaged build that matches production.
- Open ReelDeck on desktop
- Use the extension download button
- Unzip the download into a folder you can keep
2. Load it in Chrome
Chrome, Edge, and most Chromium browsers install the current ReelDeck build by loading the unpacked extension folder.
- Open chrome://extensions or the equivalent extensions page
- Turn on Developer mode
- Click Load unpacked
- Select the unzipped ReelDeck extension folder
3. Update it later
When you download a newer build, replace the files in the same folder and reload the extension so the browser picks up the new code.
- Download the new extension ZIP
- Replace the old extracted folder contents
- Click Reload on the ReelDeck extension card
If you are on a phone or tablet, skip the extension entirely and use the mobile Save route in ReelDeck instead.
Common questions
Does the extension work on mobile Chrome or Safari?
No. Use the built-in web save flow on mobile devices. The current extension is a desktop browser extension.
What if the extension seems out of date?
Download the newest build again, replace the extracted folder, and click Reload in your browser’s extensions page.
