Creator workflow
Creator Scripts and Live Run for streamers
ReelDeck turns saved videos, articles, and AI answers into an ordered creator script. Each beat can carry a source preview, in/out range, commentary notes, citation context, export metadata, and a live playback action for OBS.
Build from saved source material
Start with the links and captures already in your ReelDeck library. Add YouTube or Vimeo clips, articles, AI captures, or saved workspace clips to a script without rebuilding your research from scratch.
Mark the moments you will actually use
Playable beat previews help you understand the underlying asset before you commit to it. Set In and Out points while reviewing the source, then preview the selected range before you use it in the script.
Write the talk track around each beat
Creator Scripts keep private notes, narration, placement, audio-ducking intent, and citation notes next to the source moment they belong to.
- Use before, over, after, or split placement for commentary
- Keep source titles, URLs, and timestamp ranges attached to every beat
- Dictate narration when you want to move faster than typing
Export for editing
When the work is headed to an editor, export ReelDeck JSON or a CapCut helper package with a source manifest, cut list, narration, captions, and citations.
Run the show live
For live streams, open Live Run as a private controller. Copy the output URL into OBS as a browser source, then cue clips, move through the rundown, and keep your notes off-screen.
Creator Scripts + Live Run is the centerpiece ReelDeck workflow: save source material, turn it into a script, then choose whether the next stop is an editor timeline or a live broadcast.
Common questions
Is Live Run an OBS replacement?
No. Live Run is a private ReelDeck controller and clean browser-source output for OBS or another streaming tool. OBS still handles scenes, compositing, streaming, and recording.
Can I still export Creator Scripts for editing?
Yes. Creator Scripts support non-live export workflows through ReelDeck JSON and CapCut helper packages, so you can keep using external editors for finished videos.
Does ReelDeck download or rehost videos?
No. ReelDeck is link-first. It stores source references, metadata, timestamps, notes, and script structure, then uses official embeds or external links where providers allow playback.
